Psychological Support Services

The challenges that people with disabilities and their guardians/caregivers face, require exceptional psy-chosocial support to build up high self-esteem and confidence. This is acquired through professional thera-pies at the center and continuous outdoor activities:

  • Regular outings to public places (restaurants, supermarkets, parks, etc.)
  • Visits to work sites (factories, libraries, schools, etc.)
  • Cultural trips to museums and theaters Nature excursions and camps in different regions in Lebanon

The “Buddy” program:

Most of CARE’s students are accompanied during activities by an adolescent of similar age coming

from a mainstream school. The Buddy ” program provides an opportunity to build strong

friendships and valuable learning experiences both for those with special needs and
their buddies.

Awareness and Advocacy Program

CARE raises awareness and advocacy for the rightsof youngsters with special needs to access educa-tion and employment through engagement activitiesin collaboration with UN Global Compact, universi-ties, schools and the community.
